"For reference, I use regular nail polish, not gel nail polish. This nail polish remover pot removes my nail polish quickly and completely. I only have to turn my finger a few times in the pot and it comes out clean. The sponge on the lid works just as well for my toenails. It does have a fairly strong scent. I haven't noticed it drying out my nails. I appreciate that it comes with an extra lid and sponge."
"The nail polish remover pot is a pretty clever concept, reducing the need for cotton pads or balls. You simply stick your finger into the hole in the sponge and twist until the polish is removed. For toenail polish, you could use the sponge in the cap to remove. For this, I do prefer using a cotton pad to really get into the edges of your nail for more thorough removal. It does come with an extra sponge, which is nice. Overall, the remover worked better than I thought it would. My only issue with this is that the smell is really strong,so I recommend using this near a window or an area that is well ventilated."
"I was very skeptical that this would get off my polish just by rotating my fingers the spongy inside of the container. But it easily removed four coats of polish! It got the whole nail plus the sides all clean. It did not dry out my nails and has a very light scent. This would be great to take on vacation, as there's nothing to spill out. There's a sponge on the top for toenails, which is also very effective. Recommend this as a great alternative to messy, acetone removers."
"UPDATE: Thought it worth noting that I am liking this so much that I've bought one for my daughter and another pot for myself. Also, I don't find this to have a strong smell at all and consider myself pretty sensitive to smells. I use a long wear brand of nail polish that can be difficult to remove without acetone and hate having to fumble around with cotton balls and remover scrubbing against my nails to get polish off. I wasn't sure this pot would perform well given it is acetone-free but boy did it prove me wrong. On my first use, I had a mani with 7 layers to remove. One by one, I stuck a finger into the sponge in the pot and turned the pot five times. That was it. Remove the finger and the polish was gone. Nails don't feel or look dry after use. There is a little scent while the pot is open but it's not strong. I don't consider this on the lower end price-wise, but for the convenience and performance and condition of my nails, I will get this one again at the price currently shown. That's what gets it five stars in my book."
